Secret Garden Mantle

Do you want to know a secret?  I have one for you!!

When I was taking down my Easter Mantle I kinda knew what I wanted to do for my Spring Mantle. I wanted to do umbrellas. I wanted it too look like and feel a little bit like rain. That was very difficult to do since I couldn't find any decorative umbrellas anywhere!! I could only find kids umbrellas or black umbrellas. I knew what I was looking for, an umbrella that had the old wooden handle in the shape of a U. Following me?? Well, couldn't find one anywhere, and really didn't have the time to get on shipped from online. I even had cut out cute little umbrellas from scrapbook paper and had them hanging up.  It ended up looking too much like a baby shower. He He.
I really hate when I have an idea and I can't create it.
Then the thought came to me, The Secret Garden. Why not follow my  Spring Subway Art??
I really try hard to decorate with what I have on hand. I knew exactly what to use. These cute two little garden ladders that were in my garage. I also knew that I had to have these cute two rakes from Michaels.  I had seen them in the store when I was looking for the umbrellas, and thought hmm those are cute!! Didn't buy them at the time. Funny huh?? Then had to go back later after I discovered my new theme, The Secret Garden.  I also saw that @michaelstores had them posted on their instagram account.  They posted them and I thought, yea those are really cute, I need them!! They were a great price, so they were added to The Secret Garden mantle.
I hate to admit this to you but I like to get my frames at either Goodwill or Savers. I hate to pay full full price for them at other stores unless I am framing a quality expensive picture. But as most of you know those stickers from GoodWill never come off. Let me share a little secret with you. Goo Gone. Yes, this product you can find anywhere, I found mine in the dollar section of Target. This is my second bottle, the first one I got at Wal-Mart. It removes the stickers so easily. It doesn't take a lot of scrubbing, it comes right off.  It says right on the bottle-stickers!  It works on crayons, gummy messes, and grease too!

It doesn't require a razor blade to get the stickers off. It is amazing.  If you haven't tried it you must! Just use an old towel with it and keep the bottle and towel in a ziplock baggie for future uses.

It has been almost 6 months since my last family picture, I know shame on me. But we are getting our family pictures done soon and I can't wait to share them with you.
