Strawberry Bread
Tis the season- Strawberry season that is!! I love this time of year, where you get big, red, juicy, strawberries from your farmers market. I make freezer jam and regulars jams. I make smoothies, shakes, and bread!
If you missed yesterday's post about cleaning out my freezer, you must read it! Here is the link. I found a bag of strawberries that were a year old. Yes... they are still good. You see... strawberries can last up to a year in the freezer. I knew I had to use them right away and so I did. This Strawberry Bread is so... d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s.!
Here is the recipe:
Strawberry Bread
By Carrie Perrins
Blend in Blender:
1/2 cup vegetable oil
16 ounce pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed and drained
4 eggs
Blend together:
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Blend dry ingredients with strawberry mixture by hand in large mixing bowl. Put into greased bread pans or tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour. Check after 45 minutes and keep checking until it looks done.
Let cool for about 10-15 minutes before removing from pan.
I choose to make these in mini bread loaf pans. I love mini pans!
Strawberry season is here, so slice and serve up some Strawberry Bread!
May your day bring you sweetness!
