Homemade Lasagna

Today... I am sharing my favorite Homemade Lasagna recipe.

I remember growing up with the store-bought lasagnas. I could never find a good one. I didn't like the way they tasted. I finally found a local grocery store that carried a three meat lasagna that we liked... and we ate that for a long time... then my sister-in-law shared this recipe with me.

Life-changing.

I haven't bought a store-bought lasagna since.

Homemade Lasagna
By Carrie Perrins

  • 1 package oven ready lasagna noodles (no boiling required)
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 (16oz) cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1  (26 oz) jar of spaghetti sauce (any kind will do)
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 4 cups (16 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown ground turkey until done and drain. Then add one jar of spaghetti sauce to the meat and mix.
In a separate bowl combine cottage cheese, egg, and basil. Mix.
In a 9x13 pan, put a little bit of the meat sauce on the bottom of the pan then start layering.
Add one layer of noodles. Then add some of the cottage cheese mix.  Then add a little bit of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. And finally add the meat sauce.
Repeat.
The final step, add the rest of the mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.

Cover with tinfoil. Cook at 350 for 1 hour.

Remove from oven and let sit for about 5-10 minutes.
Serve with your favorite side dishes.

I love this Homemade Lasagna recipe.

It is my go-to lasagna recipe.

It tastes 100 times better than a store-bought lasagna. Try it and you will agree.

Enjoy!
