Brownie Trifle

I have a recipe for you!

Brownies.

White Chocolate Mousse.

Brownies.

Introducing... a mini heart brownie trifle.

I have had an itch to make a trifle for a while.
I was at the dollar tree store and found these adorable glass heart bowls. I picked up a few. I think they are so cute. When this idea came to me... I knew I wanted to make this for my hubby for a dessert.

Brownie Trifle

By Carrie Perrins

  • Baked and cooled Brownies. Any kind or brand will do. I like to use these Bonanza Brownies.
  • Recipe for White Chocolate Mousse (see below)
  • Sprinkles

White Chocolate Mousse
  • 1 small box of white chocolate instant pudding mix (3.3 oz)
  • 1 small container cool whip (8oz)
  • 1 ½ cups of milk
  • ½ cup dry cake mix powder
In a small bowl mix together the instant pudding mix and milk. Add the dry cake mix and mix well. Next add in cool whip, and mix well. If needed beat with mixer.
Let set in refrigerator for 5-10 minutes to set up.

* I used a Phillsbury Funfetti Be Mine white cake mix. I am sure you could use any flavor of cake mix. However, it will determine the color of mousse.  I wanted white.

Directions:

1. Layer a small amount of brownies in bottom of glass bowl.
2. Add white chocolate mousse.
3. Add another layer of brownies.
4. Top with sprinkles.
5. Grab a spoon and dig in. It won't last long... I promise.

My heart is dying on how cute this is... really.
The think that I enjoyed the most about this... was the combination of the brownies and the mousse.
The brownies met the perfect match... the white chocolate mousse.

I taste tested this on my husband... who doesn't like brownies... I know he is weird, I mean who doesn't like brownies... but he actually really liked.
My girls... they said it tasted too much like cool whip.
Me it tasted... like the perfect pair, brownies and white chocolate mousse.

At your next party, event, family get together... bring this along. They will be in love. Or... just save it for a cute little romantic evening with your spouse or significant other. It is brownie perfection.

Enjoy-
Carrie
