Fruit Pancake Syrup

I love pancakes! I think we serve more pancakes in our house than cold cereal, even on Saturday mornings. Shocker... I know. We are a cold cereal family too, but there is nothing like a good pancake breakfast. I love both store bought and homemade pancakes. Usually... we are a maple syrup family, but this fruit pancake syrup is really good with some homemade pancakes, strawberries, and whip cream!
I love the combination of strawberries and peaches. It is very yummy!

Here is the Recipe:

Fruit Pancake Syrup
By Carrie Perrins

1 package (16 oz) frozen sliced peaches, thawed
1 package (10 oz) frozen strawberries, thawed
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Place all ingredients into blender. Cover and blend on medium speed until smooth.
Serve over pancakes. Refrigerate leftover syrup and use within one week.

You could also use this as a fruit dip, serve it over angel food cake, or ice cream. It is delicious all ways.

I hope you enjoy your Saturday Morning Pancakes! Try this Fruit Pancake Syrup over your next Saturday morning pancakes, or make it as a fruit dip to dip your fresh fruit in, either way this recipe is a winner!!
Happy Saturday!
