Lori Lange, The Recipe girl just released her new cookbook on April 15! Congrats to her!! I bet that is so exciting! I ordered a cookbook for me and decided to give one away to you (my readers)!!


A couple of years ago for Christmas presents, I printed out a simple cookbook of my favorite recipes for my family and friends. I named it Meals and Memories are Made Here. I have used and come to love so many of these recipes. They are my go-to recipes. For example, my Five Star Salsa is one of my favorites!

I know it is in no way comparable to The Recipe girl's cookbook, but this is her first cookbook and it must have some of her favorite recipes in it! Can you imagine putting together a bunch of delicious recipes like that?? I can!!!
She commented in her book that people kept calling her for recipes and then neighborhood kids would come over to see what she was cooking for that day! To be honest, I would love for that to happen to me!!
The other day a friend commented to me that she tried my Whole Wheat Blender Pancakes and loved them!! I was so happy inside. That is a great recipe and I was happy to share it!!
I have a sister-in-law who is the go-to-girl to get a good recipe! She printed off a cookbook similar to mine and gave me a copy. I also have a Betty Crocker cookbook that I got for my bridal shower over 15 years ago. I have three cook books. Now I have added this The Recipe Girl cookbook to my shelf. I really can't wait to make something from this book! I know this book will be a go-to book for some amazing recipes.

My love for cooking and baking probably came about 2-3 years into my marriage. Before I got married I admit I did not know how to cook. In fact, I am still learning lots. But my husband has been an amazing support to me. He has a love for cooking as well, and comments all the time to me, you could do this to this recipe... you should add this... this recipe needs this.. etc. We have created many memories together in the kitchen. I also have wanted to teach my girls how to cook and bake. They are in the kitchen with me most of the time. Fun family memories, that is for sure!!
