Mountain Dew Floats

 

Are there any die hard Mtn Dew® fans out there??  I met my husband when I was 15 years old. I am sure he had can of Mtn Dew® in his hand. My husbands family are true Mtn Dew® fans! The entire family loves the stuff! Every time we get together you can bet that there are many cans of dew being drunk, even by the little ones! 
Well... in the summertime for our family reunions, get togethers, and or just hanging out on the decks in the jacuzzi we have a Mtn Dew® float in out hands!
Our family has changed the classic root beer float into a mountain dew float, and we love it!! This is a family tradition! This is a summer tradition!

Here is the very simple recipe: 

Mtn Dew® Floats

Several scoops or your favorite Vanilla Ice Cream
1 (12 oz) can of Mtn Dew®

Directions: 
Scoop ice cream into a mug. Pour over as much, or as little Mtn Dew® as you would like.
Serve.
I like to mix mine up and stick it back into the freezer for a Mtn Dew® freeze. To...die...for!!

FYI: The original Mtn Dew® formula was invented in 1940 by Tennessee beverage bottlers. A revised formula was created by Bill Bridgforth in 1958! Pepsi acquired it in 1964. 

Mtn Dew® can only be found where they serve Pepsi® products. One of my husband's pet peeves, you go into a restaurant that only serves Coke® products and you don't get Mtn. Dew®.
