Summer Reading Program

summer reading program

Every year I want my girls to join in the summer reading program at the local library but to be honest I can never get down to the library on a weekly basis. I have picked up those programs and maps and had my girls start reading but we were so busy going places, seeing things, and doing things that we never finished them. The rewards were always coupons to some place that was too expensive or something that was not liked by my girls. So... I put together this Summer Reading Program for my girls to do on their own.

Here is how it works:
They read 20 minutes or one book per day and add one cloud (cotton ball) to the printable. At the end of the month if it is full of clouds, they get their wings (reward of their choosing).

Here is what you need to make your own:

Cotton Balls or stickers

I hope to encourage my girls to read this summer. This summer will fly by and the girls will be back to school but hopefully they will have earned their reading wings!

May you fly into a good book!
Happy Summer!
