Star Spangled Flip Flops

Star Spangled Flip Flops... the simplest DIY upgrade to a pair of flip flops ever! I love flip flops. As an Arizona girl I am in them all the time! Yes... all...the...time. I hardly wear anything else. This white pair of flip flops needed an "upgrade". This upgrade... worked!
Star Spangled Flip Flops... improved my feet by 100%! They are easy to make... frugal.. and added a little spring in my step. Independence Day... here I come!

I know you want to make your own... so here are the steps.

Items Needed:

  • 1 pair of white flip flops
  • 3 yards of 5/8 inch American collection ribbon
  • hot glue gun
  • gold glitter foam stars
  • a small piece of felt
Directions:
Take your ribbon and unroll it and cut if half. One piece of ribbon for each flip flop. Start at the bottom, but hot gluing the ribbon to the flip flop at the bottom. Then simply wrap around the flip flop to the toe insert. Hot glue to the top of the toe insert...and then continue down the other side. Hot glue down the ribbon at the bottom of this side.
Cut a small piece of felt and hot glue the foam star to it. Once glued... glue the foam star to the top of the toe insert.
Viola!
