Dark Chocolate Mint Frozen Pie

I am taking a photography class and I am working on my photography skills. I needed a picture for the rule of thirds. I decided to break out some chocolate chips. This bag of Dark Chocolate and Mint Morsels was left over from Christmas. Great rule of thirds huh??

Anyways, in order to use up these dark chocolate and mint chips... I decided to make a frozen pie. I knew I wanted to make a simple pie with only a few ingredients. It had be done quick.
I literally thru this together in no time... and then put it in the freezer over night.

This Dark Chocolate Mint Frozen Pie... turned out so very delicious.

By Carrie Perrins

  • 1 bag dark chocolate and mint morsels
  • 1 bag Kraft caramel melting bits
  • 1 8 oz cool whip
  • 1 graham cracker pie crust
Directions:
In a microwavable safe dish, melt your caramels according to the directions on the back of the package. It states to melt it for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
In a separate microwavable safe dish, melt your chocolate chips the same way.
Combine your melted caramel bits, chocolate chips, and cool whip in a medium bowl.
Dump into your graham cracker pie crust.
Freeze for 4 hours or overnight.
Let sit out for 5 minutes and then serve.

* These dark chocolate and mint morsels are seasonal, but you can find them here

This dark chocolate mint frozen pie... has dark chocolate, caramel, mint, and a graham cracker crust.

They tasted very similar to the grasshopper cookies. The mint flavor stood out... by far the best.

I love frozen... easy to put together pies. It makes a great and easy dessert.

Enjoy-
Carrie
