CopyCat Cold Stone Creamery Founder's Favorite®

This birthday girl is sharing her all time "favorite" Cold Stone Ice Cream creation! I love to go to Cold Stone for my birthday and order the Founder's Favorite®! It is by far my favorite creation. I love their slogan... It's exactly like the name suggests... delicious!
This CopyCat Cold Stone Creamery Founder's Favorite® tastes so much like the original I couldn't tell the difference. This is my picture I promise! I took them myself. I did not buy a Founder's Favorite® and just take pictures of it. This was my own creation!

Don't believe me... here is the proof!

Sweet Cream Ice Cream
By Carrie Perrins
*Adapted from Cooking Classy

1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1/4 cup light corn syrup

In a large sauce pan whisk together all the ingredients until blended. Cook over medium heat until mixture just comes to a boil. Once mixture comes to a boil turn down heat and allow mixture to gently boil for about 1 minute, stirring it constantly. Strain mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl. Cover mixture with wax paper, pressing directly against the ice cream surface. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Transfer ice cream base-mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze for about 20-25 minutes. Transfer ice cream to freezer and freeze until firm. Serve it up with pecans, brownies, fudge and caramel.

*Sorry... I didn't get a picture of the first step... but here are the rest!

The ice cream melts pretty fast... so make sure you keep it frozen until it is time to serve it.

This recipe is sweeeeeeet!
This CopyCat Cold Stone Creamery Founder's Favorite® made this birthday girl very happy.
To those all those celebrating a birthday...
Hope your day is sweet!
