Banana Bread

I have been around for while now! Without enclosing my true age... I have had a lot of banana bread. Growing up my dad had a great banana nut bread recipe. You will find a banana bread in almost every family cookbook. I know I have several in my recipe stash.

This is by far the BEST  banana bread I have ever had! I am not joking, lying, trying to sell you on this.
I just wanted to share it... because it is simply the best!
My cousin gave me the recipe and I have asked her permission in sharing it. Thanks Tiffany!

Here is the recipe:

Banana Bread

By Carrie Perrins

3/4 cup butter, softened
3 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sour cream
6 bananas
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking soda
4 1/2 cups flour

cinnamon and sugar mixture

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour your 3 bread pans. Cream together butter, sugar, and eggs in mixer. Add vanilla, sour cream, bananas, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, combine salt, soda, and flour and mix together gently. Then pour into wet ingredients and mix.
Flour and dust your three pans with the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Pour batter evenly among the three pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 57 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool for about 5 minutes.
Makes 3 loaves.

*We ate one of these loaves right off the bat, but then we froze the other two and it was nice pulling it out of the freezer and using it for breakfast several weeks down the road.  It can also be used for gifts, meals for those in need, friends, etc.

You will want to share the recipe with your family as well!
