Kiss Me I'm Irish Cookies

Kiss Me... I'm Irish. 

This St. Patrick's Day... you will want these kiss cookies to be amongst the kissing going on!

These cookies are a great cookie... topped with a chocolate kiss. 

I remembered this recipe from the start of this blog... over a year ago. I decided I wanted to change them up and add a kiss!

They turned out soooo good!

However... these cookies are not for the healthy minded, or the weak. These are some real sugar cookies!!

Here is the recipe...

Kiss Me I'm Irish Cookies

*adapted from these cookies

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup vegetable oil

1 cup sugar

1 cup confectioner's sugar (powdered sugar)

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

1 pkg. (3.4 oz) white chocolate instant pudding mix

4 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp. cream of tartar

1 tsp. baking soda

*extra ½ cup of sugar and green gel food coloring. 

Directions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, oil, and sugars together for about 5 minutes. 
2. Beat in the eggs, vanilla, and dry pudding mix. 
3. Combine the flour, cream of tartar, and baking soda in a separate small bowl. 
4. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, and mix well. 
5. In a separate bowl combine the  extra ½ cup sugar with the green gel food coloring. 
6. With a cookie scoop, make a cookie and then roll in the colored sugar. 
7. Drop onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. 
8. With a small glass, flatten the cookie. 
9. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven immediately. 
10. Remove from pan to cooling rack. 
11. Anywhere from 2-5 minutes, place a kiss on top of cookie. 

Serve and Enjoy!

My daughter was able to stay up late and help make these cookies. She loved helping me and I love having her help. She and the tedious job of unwrapping all the kisses. She might have even snuck a few.  I sent some cookies into her school today for her treat. She was excited to share them. 

I loved the mixture of the white chocolate pudding with the sugar cookie and the kiss... Oh my!!!

These are good cookies!
